Hand made in Germany in the world class workshop of Otto Jos. Klier, these violins are perfect for any keen or more advanced students. Made from aged Bosnian maple and Austrian mountain spruce, Otto Jos. Klier instruments have a powerful yet refined sound which means they can keep up with the demands of the modern musician whilst honouring the centuries of European traditions in violin making. Otto Jos. Klier is well established in instrument manufacturing having been established in 1887 ensuring high quality in every instrument.
This violin has a two piece well flamed back made from aged Bosnian maple. The top is made from aged Austrian mountain spruce. The S2 violin is fitted with ebony pegs, fingerboard, chinrest and a wittner tailpiece with in-built fine tuners. It has been antiqued with a good cover of light to dark brown varnish with a matte finish.
Overall this instrument has a beautifully rich & warm sound. This violins tone is complex & very well balanced. The S2 violin has been fitted with Larsen Tzigane strings to enhance the natural complexity & richness of this violins tone. This violin will be most suitable for the intermediate to the advanced player (approximately AMEB Grade 5-6).
